Welcome to our feature, 10 minutes in the tackroom. This is a regular feature where we ask riders, businesses and charities 12 questions and they have a maximum of 10 minutes to answer them.

This week in the saddle we have Steph, you can follow Steph on her Instagram, Facebook or read her blog.

Tell us about your horse

Baby is a 13.3 dark bay, Gypsy Cob, mare. She was a one year anniversary gift from my boyfriend, Tom (how lucky am I?!). We bought her at a year and a half old, and 11 months pregnant. 4 days later she gave birth to a gorgeous little foal, George. Baby was a happy hacker, but turned her hoof to showing and now dressage.

Tell us a horse joke

I put a bet on a horse to come in at 10 to 1 – and it did!

Unfortunately all the others came in at 12.30.

What do you do when you aren't with your horse?

I try to go to the gym minimum of 3 times a week. I also take my dogs for long walks in the countryside – Liss Common is their favourite. Besides that it’s mostly lazy days, chilling at home

What do you love about the horsey community?

The support and encouragement you can receive from complete strangers. Since starting my Facebook page, I’ve had people messaging me all the way from Australia about how well they think me and Baby are doing. It’s such a wonderful feeling!

What do you dislike about the horsey community?

How it can be the complete opposite from the above answer. The very obvious lack of support  and encouragement that their can be, even from people who you thought were your friends.

Do your family share your passion of horses?

My mum got into horses for a few years, but that was only because they bought me my first pony – Misty. Besides that I am the only equestrian in the family

Tell us your funniest horse related story?

It’s got to be when my boyfriend was learning to ride and he fell off. He was riding this big 15.2 Highland x Shire. He was cantering along and all of a sudden he just seemed to give up and flopped off the side. Obviously I only laughed when I knew he was okay!

Who is your favourite famous horse rider?

Grand Prix dressage rider Natasha Althoff – she does these wonderful Youtube videos and really breaks down certain dressage movements. I’ve learnt and achieved so much more through watching her videos.

Who is your favourite famous horse?

Our Cashel Blue – I love cobs and I just think he is gorgeous!

How many times have you fallen off?

More than I can count! But you’ve got to fall off to become a good rider…right?

What horsey product can't you live without?

Moisturise and condition, it's a great product for looking after Baby's long mane and adding brilliant shine and condition.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I have a degree in Graphic Design.
