Where do I start telling you what I love about the Colour Edition Saddle Pad from Kentucky?! I bought the saddle pad in February & I have been very impressed all round. If you are looking for a luxury brand with the horses comfort at the fore front of design look no further then Kentucky Horsewear.
Firstly the saddle pad is superbly made; there is just the right amount of cushioning which gives the pad a luxury feel & most importantly very comfortable for your horse. The pad itself is lightweight & extremely well structured, it does not slip back & holds its shape. The design makes it perfect for a monoflap saddle, however, I have also tried this with a double flap saddle & it fits equally well. After using this on a few different horses I can confidently say the saddle pad is breathable & did not leave the horses uncomfortably warm under the saddle.
Aesthetically the saddle pad is gorgeous!
I love the horizontal stitching across the pad & the discreet Kentucky logo on either side. The saddle pad is certainly smart enough for show use but practical & hard wearing enough for everyday use. I use the saddle pad daily on generally more than one horse; the pad has washed very well, held its shape & all stitching is as it should be. The pad is not only designed with the horses comfort in mind but is also very stylish & comes in several colour combinations.
I have the pad in Grey with Burgundy Piping; it looks great when used on a grey, chestnut, black, liver chestnut & bay! I wasn’t sure about the contrast piping when ordering but I have to say it really does work. The bold piping really compliments the neutral colour. Overall I cannot recommend this saddle pad enough for its performance, design & style. I cannot wait to invest in a second one, I have my eye on a green or blue one!
