This sweater from Montar is a great addition to any equestrians’ wardrobe. As a standalone item of clothing this sweater is a lovely piece.
The soft material is cut into a great shape, and the elasticated cuffs mean that the sleeves can be pulled up to keep them out of the way when working on the yard. This sweater has dual usage it can be worn on the yard for day to day jobs with the horses.
The sweater is lightweight enough to be worn on its own but also is a great baselayer for cold days, to be worn under a coat or gilet. For those who like matchy-matchy, the different colours are great shades to combine with a variety of sets! The sequined Montar logo on the front adds some glam to the sweater, a nice bit of sparkle on a dreary day at the yard. This glitter makes the sweater also suitable to wear off the yard, socially and not just at equestrian events!
The production quality is second to none, and the care instructions are easy, I have washed it multiple times and the sweater comes up like new each time! The inner lining has remained soft and no shrinking!! Frequently with clothing that has sequins sown onto the outside the sequins start to come loose and fall off.
However, with this sweater the sequins have stayed firmly in place and haven’t started to look scraggy! Size wise I would say that the Montar range is true to size, and that if anything this sweater comes up slightly larger, which is nice for a loose-fitting causal top! For its price the sweater is a super buy and if you’re quick you might be able to get it discounted as Equissimo have this in their super summer sale!
