I purchased the Rebel by Montar Alicia breeches in white from Equissimo in search of a new pair of dressage breeches. I had bought some other brands in advance of the Alicia breeches and was having difficulties finding a suitable pair, however, I have found these breeches fit incredibly well and as equestrians, we all know how difficult it can be to find the perfect pair of breeches.
Not only are these breeches super flattering, they are incredibly stylish too. Initially, when I read about the snakeskin detailing, I wasn't too sure about having extra patterns on a competition breech, however, the detail adds the perfect amount of individuality instead of just a plain competition breech, without being too over the top. In fact, the detailing is so pretty, I'd have to say it has become my favourite feature of the breeches.
Even though I bought these breeches with the intention of wearing them for dressage competitions, I love them so much I wear them for eventing and show jumping too !
They wash well (I have worn and washed them after on countless occasions!). Furthermore, they come with the option of either knee or full seat silicone patches, meaning you have that extra grip when you need it, especially for jumping - which I certainly need with my cheeky connemara Bobby!
I have found these breeches to be true to my non-equestrian fashion size (shown on the equissimo website) and recommend buying your true size with no need to size up like many other brands of breeches. The only thing to note is these breeches are not stretchy and the material is stiffer, but once on they fit well.
These breeches have become my go-to breeches for any discipline. I always say no matter how you perform on the day you can always make sure you look super smart and the rebel Alicia breeches from montar certainly help me achieve this! Even though I have these breeches in white, Equissimo also stock the Alicia breeches in black, grey and navy meaning they could be worn for day to day riding or training. I'd thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a new pair of breeches!
