Black Friday is done & dusted – did you all get some good deals? Christmas is less than a month away, and I don’t know about you lot, but I have been making a list of ALL the gorgeous horse things I want to buy, or hope to get as a present under the tree 😊 My family and friends always ask me for ideas of what to get me – apparently I am rather hard to buy presents for!! So, with that in mind, I thought that I would share with you all my top picks on my wish list from Equissimo!
With Mr Sharp being clipped throughout winter, and as he is now 15, I try to look after him and keep his muscles warm – Now I have a HI Vis fleece lined Exercise Sheet for Hacking, but I really don’t want to light up the arena with it whilst Schooling – This fabulous quarter rug, caught my eye! It has a 160g filling and a faux rabbit fur lining that not only insulates your horse, but also encourages his coat to shine, but best of all it is cut away from the shoulder allowing freedom of movement to work correctly during your session!!
2. Kingsland Katinka Winter Riding Tights RRP £89.00:
Working out on a yard all day in every kind of weather, I suffer badly and really feel the cold, and these winter riding tights really caught my eye! They come in Red Port Royal & black, and being made from an innovative material they are able to keep you warm without overheating – Perfect! Even better they also have a full silicone seat to help keep you in the saddle whilst your horse is feeling the freshness of Winter – Can’t ask for more than that!!
You can never have enough Gilets through winter!! I love the colour of this Animo Gilet, and not only would it keep me looking smart on the yard at work, but its gorgeous enough to wear even when not with the horses! The colour is eye catching and as with all Gilets it they are fantastic to layer under to keep me warm and toasty!!
One of the things that I haven’t been able to acquire since moving back over to the UK from South Africa, is a beautiful show rug for Sharp to keep him warm whilst at a BD show. Usually I just take along a fleece rug or one of his medium weight Stable rugs – but then I feel silly when I see all the other horses in beautiful show rugs – so this rug from Montar is on my Christmas wish list for Sharp!
So, there you have it – my top 4 picks from the Equissimo website that are all on my Christmas wish list – It will be distributed to friends and family and fingers crossed that I get at least one of these beautiful items wrapped up and under the Christmas tree for me! 😊 In all honesty, even if none of these end up under the tree on December 25th, I will most certainly be saving up and splashing out on them for Sharp and I!
