What a whirlwind 2019-2020 has been! Brian and I have had a rather busy first season together.
We have been attending British Riding Club Qualifiers and amazingly we managed to qualify for 2/4 of them! Our riding club Cornwall Trec are quite consistent with representing Cornwall at National Championships, whether it’s at Quadrille, Dressage, Show Jumping, Combined Training or at The Festival Of The Horse, and just being able to compete at them is such an amazing thing - it’s just this overwhelming sense of achievement.
We have also been on Beach rides with Brian’s favourite mare in the world - Flame and her owner Gemma, this then led us in to try something new. We went hunting! I had no idea how Brian would be as at times he can’t even warm up if horses are cantering around him, but on the hunt field he was an absolute saint.
2020 is going to be different for us, we lost our sponsorship with Vicky Tattersall who’s been an absolute lifesaver for Brian and Ali, she’s supported me for 3 seasons and now it’s time for her to give someone else the amazing opportunity! We have also lost JP photography as she is leaving Cornwall, Julia has given us some fantastic photographic memories which has also helped with a lot of Equissimo product promotion.
In the early start of the New Year we were approached by The Animal Health register who say - “Our aim is to provide a directory of animal related businesses who are reviewed by their customers meaning you get an honest representation of that professional. Whether you are looking for doggy day care or a trusted horse riding instructor the Animal Health Register will be the place to look.”
We are going to be joining their team to be a Brand Ambassador, then excitingly we were also contacted by MAC Therapy Equine who have offered us sponsorship for this season. I am incredibly thankful for both of the companies who’ve contacted me and I’m looking forward to working with them this season!
So watch this space ....
