I was your typical pony mad child, now 27 I never out grew the I love horses stage.
I have own 2 horses or should I say owned by them.
I grew up on a farm and got my first pony of my own in 2001. Through my childhood my passion was show jumping although enjoyed dressage and showing now and again. I went on to college and did my stages whilst working as a sole charge groom for a dressage rider, on a riding school and in my spare time offering equestrian services, schooling and breaking horses.
In 2013 I bought ditsy as 2 year old, who I instantly fell in love with. I had that forever horse feeling with her. I competed ditsy at local shows and just as we got started sadly in 2017 she was diagnosed with pssm type 1 which resulted in her needing a quieter life. We take each day as it comes and keep her well with strict diet and exercise routine.
I ended up getting a second horse when I knew I had to admit defeat that ditsy was never going to be able to have a full ridden career again. Then came finn, he had been for sale previously and I had my eye on him. He later came up for sale again, due to suffering neglect in the home he was sold to. I went to view him and I knew it was fate that he should be with me. Now one year on he is fit and well, i spent the winter bringing him on slowly.
We have just started competing under saddle and I hope to progress and chase my childhood dreams with him and I am so lucky to be supported by Equissimo whilst doing this.
