I was very fortunate to receive a beautiful Miasuki helmet last year and now feel having put it through its paces for near a year in all conditions it’s time to give it the review it deserves. Firstly the helmet looks fantastic there is a beautiful shine to the hat which catches the light making it look stunning in all conditions. I was initially slightly nervous of the logo on the side but it honestly doesn’t worry me in the slightly, it’s not too big and actually is quite discrete.
The helmet is really light weight and for me I love the removable liner as I usually suffer with a sweaty head, however all of last summer in the scoring sun I suffered no sweaty hat hair, the ventilation is fantastic. I’m able to keep the liner fresh by just popping it in the machine for a quick freshen up. During the colder, wetter months my head has been kept warm and dry and the hat has just had a quick wipe with the cloth from the cleaning kit and the handy bag it comes with is easy to keep it safe when not in use.
What I particularly love about the helmet is the cleaning kit that comes with it, it’s a really fab touch and for me it’s this type of little detail that makes it worth the extra money. Knowing that the helmet is engineered by KEP means I’m confident it has been manufactured to the highest of standards and meets all the necessary safety ratings meaning it can be used for all disciplines.
