I have admired the rose gold tech stirrups for a while now and finally took the plunge and purchased a pair of the Athena as I have now started jumping Billy and wanted to feel secure and well supported.
The Tech Stirrups Athena do not disappoint and let me take a moment to explain why, they are super lightweight, the colour is amazing (there are many colour options available) and I love the attention to detail. Each stirrup is clearly marked left and right and has a directional arrow signifying which way is the front.
Putting them to the test in our first jumping session in a while I found the stirrups to be super grippy and comfortable, the tread plate is wide enough that you feel supported without being too wide and bulky, they haven’t disappointed.
Mum has been hacking Billy in the stirrups and I was interested in her feedback as she has had a replacement knee surgery and struggles with support and comfort in the stirrups on long hacks. After Mum’s first ride in the stirrups she couldn’t believe how comfy she found them, her knees and lower legs are feeling supported and she has no pain’s during or after riding in the even after a long hack.
We both highly recommend the stirrups and maybe purchasing different colours to add to our collection!
